Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result or participation in this event. By participation in this event each competitor, or in the case of minors, each competitor's parent or guardian, agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitors participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing, RRS, the prescriptions of US Sailing, the ILYA, the WYA and by the Sailing Instructions. The Sailing Instructions are available online for download at the  or website. This is an invitational Category C event in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20.

The racing area will be on the navigable waters of Nagawicka Lake. The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions.

Boats will be moored along the SW shore.  A buoy and anchor system will be needed to hold your boat on a sandy bottom at a depth of 6-15 ft. All competitors are responsible for securing their boats to a sufficient anchor that will hold a boat in place during heavier winds. Taxi service will be provided prior to and immediately following races. Coach boats can be parked at the NLYC. No overnight pier parking for Spectator boats is available at the Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club.

Trailer Parking will be at the park on top of the hill.  Follow the signs.

Car Parking will be at a premium. Please try to carpool to the club. Each team should only bring one car to the Headquarters. Overflow parking will be available at the Heinze’s house on top of the hill.

Spectator Fleet

Spectator/Tender boats are welcome and can be launched at the Nagwicka Lake Yacht Club before or after competitors have launched or taken out. In addition, limited spectator boats will be available for those wishing to get out on the water to watch the races.
